A heartfelt thank you goes out to Gene Smith, General Manager of the Jacksonville Jaguars and the NFL Video Directors.

During the 2009 CSVA conference in Jacksonville FL, CSVA members had the opportunity to tour the Jaguars facility led by Video Director Mike Perkins.

As the members arrived at the facility, they were greeted by Perkins and members of his staff where lunch was served.
After lunch, members were lead into the Jags auditorium where General Manager Gene Smith was introduced.  Smith welcomed everyone and explained the important role college video coordinators play when NFL teams are scouting prospected players.  He then spoke about the CSVA's organization and applauded what and who the CSVA stands for and the direction it is going.  As he spoke about the relationships NFL scouts and College Video Coordinators build over the years, Smith was saddened to learn about the passing of former Florida State's video coordinator and CSVA Vice President Billy Vizinni.  Touched by the way the members memorialized Billy with a scholarship fund, Smith reached into his pocket and revealed a personal check for $500 to add to the endowment.  With applause filling the room, Smith thanked everyone for attending.

On the heels of the conference an email was sent to the Executive Committee from Mike Perkins: "I wanted to thank you for letting us be a part of your conference.  I came away being more impressed with the CSVA than ever before.  The Video Directors of the NFL would like to present a check for $500 for the Billy V Scholarship fund and his memory."

The CSVA thanks the Jacksonville Jaguars, Gene Smith, Mike Perkins and the NFL Video Directors for helping memorialize Billy.
