Todd McCarthy enters his 11th season at Georgia Tech as Director of Video Operations after joining the Tech staff in the spring of 1998.
McCarthy handles all practice, game and opponents’ video for the coaching staff while overseeing Tech’s video operations.
In 2005, the Tech Video Department received the SAVVY Award from the Collegiate Sports Video Association for the year’s top highlight video. McCarthy is a three-time winner of the Atlantic Coast Conference Video Director of the Year award (2001, 2003 and 2004).
McCarthy spent two years (1996-98) as Director of Sports Video at the University of Pittsburgh and three years (1993-96) in the same capacity at the University of Richmond. He also worked two years as a videographer and editor in the sports department at WRIC-TV, the ABC affiliate in Richmond, Va.
A native of Richmond, Va., McCarthy earned his bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Communications from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1992
