Time is drawing closer for the 16th annual Collegiate Sports Video Conference.  This year’s conference will be held at the Renaissance Hotel and Convention Center in Schaumburg, Illinois.  Reservations can be made by following this link:

Remove noise artifacts and enhance your audio with specialized audio filters.

 

Motion 101 & 102:

Spice up the production quality of your videos by using Apple's Motion.  Learn how to create specialized title effects using the "sequence text" feature.

 

After Effects 101 & 102:

Learn the critical tips and tricks to becoming efficient with After Effects.  Learn exciting techniques for creating complex effect and composites that utilize templates for a consistent look.

 

Final Cut Pro 101 & 102:

Explore the undocumented tips and tricks from the ground up to become an efficient Final Cut Pro editor.  Learn specialized media management techniques.  Explore advanced composition and effects techniques.

 

Avid 101 & 102:

Learn the undocumented tips and tricks to become an efficient Avid editor.  Explore Avid's underlying effects editing system including how to use Color Correction module.  Learn advanced techniques including Avid media Composer's Paint System, and Avid's 3D titling package.

 

We also have made contact to have the opportunity to tour the Chicago Bears and the Big Ten Network facility.  Least we not forget the annual Chuck Linster Golf Tournament played at the Poplar Creek Country Club.

There are two Executive Committee positions that are up for nomination, President and Treasurer.  Please keep in mind who you would like to nominate.  Nominations will be submitted by any member in good standing.  Please submit your candidate via email to erikk@collegiatesportsvideo.com with the by-line: CSVA NOMINATION.  Each nominee will be seconded by a CSVA member and accepted by the purposed nominee.  The due date for nominations is March 26th which is 45 days from the conference.  From there there will be a poll for members to vote on each Executive Committee nominee.

 

The CSVA SAVVY (motivational video of the year) awards will be posted and voted on the website.  These videos will be submitted in the March-February time frame so get your creative juices flowing.  Further details will be posted. 

 

To stay consistent with our new payment cycle your CSVA membership now runs from January thru December.  You will have until the end of January to renew your membership for the 2010 Year.  *Those that have joined CSVA for the first time in the last few months will be granted membership thru the end of 2010.
