Erik Kunttu

Erik Kunttu of the Colts was elected to succeed outgoing Secretary Mike Martin of TCU at the 2007 CSVA Annual Conference.  At the 2010 CSVA conference, Kunttu was elected President.  Kunttu is currently in his 1st year directing the video operation for the Indianapolis Colts. Previously Kunttu spent 17 years at Syracuse University directing the entire athletics department, including football, basketball, lacrosse and special projects. He was recognized as the Big East Conference Video Coordinator of the Year in 1999, 2000, 2002, 2003, 2005 and 2007. He was also named the Bob Matey National Video Coordinator of the Year by CSVA in 2005.

 

A native of Orchard Park, NY, Kunttu directs the video operation for the Colts. Prior to his appointment at the Colts, Kunttu was the Director of Video Operations at Syracuse, assistant video director for the National Football League’s Buffalo Bills for four years.

 

A 1992 graduate of Canisius College with a degree in communications, Kunttu lettered three years in football as a linebacker and was Special Teams Player of the Year in 1990.

 

Kunttu resides in Indianapolis with wife, Kristen, and their four children, Kaija, Mason, Davin & Jaxon.
